the school
| Stellenberg High School has established itself as one of the Western Cape's leading academic schools. Over the past years the school has attained excellent results in the Senior Certificate Examinations, the external examination against which schools measure their academic success. |
On average, the school annually produces approximately 25-30% A -averages is any matric group, 25% B-averages and 75% of the group attains a "merit"- average, which means that three out every four matriculants graduate with a C-average or higher. |
| Over the last 5 years the school has consistently won provincial awards based on the Mathematics and Natural Science results. The 2006 results garnered the school a place on the so-called Club 100 - a drive of the National Department of Education to award the top schools in Mathematics. |

Individually the learners have regularly attained places on the Western Cape Merit List (the top 20 learners in the province) culminating in 2006 when four learners were honoured in this way. Johan du Plessis attained the first place on this order of merit. Eighteen of our learners attained a place in the top three per subject in the province. In 2007, 5 learners attained a place on the Western Cape Merit List. |
